Our College: A Means of Mobilising Human Resource...
The stature of Kamrup College, Chamata as a centre of Higher Education in Pachim Nalbari Revenue Circle exists as it is till date since its inception in 1966. Behind sustenance, the optimal uplift of human resource of its locality is there. The current year-2017 is the most crucial for all stakeholders of our college as it has been awarded Grade-A by the NAAC and declared Golden Jubilee Year by Governing Body. Both things appear as a challenging in front of us. The challenges are: the continuation of the latest accredited grade by the NAAC and the making our college an ultimate means of Human Resource mobilization to the optimum level.
Our college offers ten plus two (Arts) and BA Semester courses attracting youths from all villages of the Revenue Circle every year owing to the conducive academic atmosphere of our college and our dedicated teaching staff.
Dear youths, you are the assets of our society. Step in our premier institute of higher education and fulfill your long cherished dreams and make its glory brighter and let us make our Kamrup College, Chamata a means of Mobilising Human Resource together.

Kamrup College, Chamata, a premier and one of the oldest institution of Higher Education in West
Nalbari area, was established in the year 1966 (July 25) At present, a provincialised undergraduate
Arts College, it has traversed almost 47 years of its glorious existence in the field of Higher
Education. I am indeed grateful to the extraordinary vision and farsightedness of the people of the
entire locality whose untiring efforts gave birth to this noble institution in the sixties of the
last century While we should be justifiably proud of the achievements of the college in its journey
of nearly five decades, we should also give serious introspection as to the deficiencies and
drawbacks that we must remove, and the higher goals that we must reach in near future. We should all
pledge to work together to meet this college a center of excellence. Our college has been playing a
vital role in the expansion of higher education in the entire Paschim Nalbari area.
